Hallo Familie!
I have a couple of awesome stories from this week! First the highlight: Inge.
Inge Benkoulla is a referral we got from a member family in our ward. It was a few days before we were able to contact her, but this week we went by, and we had two really good appointments with her, and she was at church yesterday! She is an amazing woman. She has been through a lot of hard things in her life, but I think that has prepared her for the gospel. She is so open and receptive to the spirit. In her own words, she is "looking to find [her] believe in God again." When we were there on Saturday, Inge said the closing prayer, and it was the most beautiful, humble prayer I have ever heard. All of a sudden I just felt this overwhelming love for her, and I knew without a doubt that Heavenly Father was listening to that prayer, and that she really is one of his daughters, and that he loves her. Everyone please pray for Inge!
Another kind of random story: So Sister Römer and I were going door to door contacting, and even though it was prime finding hours, we came to a building where not a single person was answering the door. We had klingeled about 12 doors, and there was only one doorbell left, and so I turned to Sister Römer and said, "If this guy answers the door, I'm going to use the topic of Chastity for the door approach." Of course he answered, haha. It was pretty awkward. But sometimes we have to have a little bit of fun while we're out. :) And on that same day we found a guy from Oregon! He seemed pretty interested. I'll let you know if anything comes from it.
Well, not much time today, but I sure love you all!
Love,
Kristin
P.S. Congratulations to Julia Blackham and her mission call to Columbus, OH!
P.P.S. I'm attatching a photo of Sister Römer and I doing doors. You may ask yourself, "Who took this picture?" The answer is... one of the three nephites.
